No. When you place your order, you tell us exactly where to dump the mulch. Your driver follows those instructions, which are printed on the invoice. We'll text you when we're on the way so you know it's coming. Most customers are not home during delivery.

It can, depending on the mulch type and how long it sits. Dark dyed mulches (black or dark brown) are the most likely to leave a tint on concrete or light-colored pavers if they get wet and sit for a while before you move them. Natural hardwood mulches are much less of a concern. If you're worried about it, spread the pile within a day or two of delivery and rinse the driveway afterward. Most customers have no issues at all.

Not necessary for most deliveries. If you're having mulch dumped on a concrete or asphalt driveway, it shovels and wheelbarrows clean easily. Some customers put a tarp down to make cleanup faster, which is fine, but it's not something we require or recommend. If you're getting delivery on a paver driveway and want to protect it, a tarp makes the cleanup quicker.

There's no hard deadline, but sooner is better. A pile sitting on your driveway for more than a few days can start to heat up in the center as it composts, and if it's near a garage door or house, that's not ideal. Most customers spread within a day or two. If rain is in the forecast and your pile is on a slope, spreading it before the rain keeps it from washing into the street. A week is fine in most cases. A month is too long.

Our driver will assess on arrival. If the truck can't fit, we dump as close as safely possible. This is most common in older neighborhoods with narrow driveways, such as in Wauwatosa, Shorewood, and Whitefish Bay. We'd rather place it safely than risk damage to your property.
